Looking for a short-term leadership opportunity where you can combine hands-on clinical work with service oversight?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Physiotherapist (HP5 equivalent) to join a supportive rural health service while permanent recruitment is underway. This role offers the opportunity to lead physiotherapy services across multiple facilities while maintaining a varied and rewarding clinical caseload.

The Opportunity
You'll provide advanced rural generalist physiotherapy services across inpatient, outpatient and occasional emergency department settings, while supporting and mentoring a small team of physiotherapists across neighbouring facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Clinical oversight of general ward physiotherapy services
• Management of outpatient physiotherapy caseloads
• Occasional Emergency Department cover
• Professional supervision and mentorship of Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants
• Service development, quality improvement and clinical governance activities
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
• Support and oversight of physiotherapy services across multiple sites

About You

• Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
• Extensive rural generalist physiotherapy experience
• Strong inpatient and outpatient clinical skills- minimum 7 years experience
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring clinicians- required
• Confidence working autonomously and leading service delivery
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Current driver's licence
