MARS Healthcare are seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to join a new and innovative paediatric private practice in Kedron, QLD. This organisation has 5 clinics in Brisbane, and due to continued growth and service expansion, they are seeking an amazing Senior Speech Pathologist to join their team!

This MDT consists of an array of Speech Pathologist's, Occupational Therapists, Psychologist's, and Allied Health Assistants. This team supports patients via PHN - Primary Health Network.

The Role?

  • Provide Speech Therapy support and meet the needs of children, young people and families navigating through mental health, emotional and cognitive challenges.
  • Your will assess, plan, recommend, and implement a wide range of Speech Pathology services for children of varied abilities and presentations.
  • Assist with early intervention to promote an individual's independence.
  • Create a safe, fun and creative space that promotes child engagement.
  • Work with children and their families to build the skills needed to increase participation in meaningful activities and maintain positive relationships.
  • Provide clinical supervision

About you?

  • 4+ years post grad experience
  • SPA registration and relevant tertiary degree
  • Have the ability to work alongside both children and families and assist in achieving goals collaboratively.
  • Previous experience working with NDIS clients and in a private practice is preferred.
  • Effectively assess the needs of participants and ensure that efficient support is implemented and managed.
  • Coach and involve caseload in a fun and collaborative environment.
  • Experience working with Children ages 2 years and up with a range of disabilities is desirable
  • Have the ability to offer high quality therapy services and develop and implement effective therapy programs to assist your clients in working toward their individual goals.
  • Assist with the tailoring of plans to allow patients to achieve specific goals by providing clear feedback and embracing innovation to deliver small victories and life-changing results.
  • Be passionate, empathetic and understanding.
