Sales Development Executive – Automotive

Founded over 35 years ago, this is a family owned business offering innovative automotive vehicle tracking, fleet management, and telematics tech solutions to various industries. Proud suppliers to several large vehicle manufacturers and committed to growing the Telematics space in their market.



Responsibilities:

This is a full-time hybrid role for an experienced sales specialist. This position reports to the Sales Manager, and you will work alongside 28 employees in Melbourne.

  • Client Acquisition and Strategy Development: Outbound prospecting and lead generation through research, cold calling, innovative sales campaigns and attending networked events.
  • Business Expansion and Marketing Initiatives: Collaborate with the current sales team to expand the business and oversee new marketing initiatives.
  • Target & KPI achievement: Meet or exceed agreed upon sales and revenue targets
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly engage with internal and external stakeholders to build strong connections and grow referrals.
  • Representation at Events: Represent the company at expos, events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.
  • Lead Business Development: Identify and lead business development opportunities proactively



Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in Business Development or Sales within the automotive, technology, transport or logistics industry or a similar field.
  • Experience in new business aquisition within one of the above industries.
  • Knowledge of fleet management and vehicle tracking solutions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to effectively build rapport quickly.
  • Lead generation including cold calling, online outbound prospecting, building sales campaigns, and successful appointment setting.
  • Motivated, passionate, and results-focused with a proactive attitude and a friendly, professional demeanor.
