MARS Recruitment is partnering with an automotive aftermarket company that is seeking a Product Lead - Performance to join their team.

The Product Lead - Performance will be responsible for overseeing, driving and growing the Performance product portfolio while ensuring its profitability and viability in the marketplace. Ensure supplier relationships are maintained while ensuring optimal product assortment to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage the current Performance range of products.
• Analyse market trends, sales data, and customer insights to identify opportunities in the market and execute their development.
• Work with the marketing team to ensure the brand is well represented within the market. Ensure packaging is consistent and social, electronic and print media represents the brand at a high standard.
• Attend and assist the marketing and sales departments with the execution of industry trade shows.
• Create briefs for the marketing team on product specials, new product launches and social media communication.
• Ensure sales teams are kept up to date with relevant new product developments.
• Maintain and manage the market pricing of the performance portfolio and implement any price changes.
• Negotiations with suppliers for better pricing, trading terms, and rebates.
• Provide technical support as required.
• Provide the wholesale inventory department with forecast and justification on new product lines

Criteria:

• Proven experience as a Category / Product Manager, preferably with a Performance background
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills

• 3 days in the office / 2 days from home
