The Role

The People Business Partner will be accountable for driving the People agenda with a focus on a number of subsidiaries under the business group. This role has specific responsibility for change management, people strategy, organisation and role design, talent and skill development, ways of working, and engagement while ensuring the budget remains within plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with the Business Unit leaders in order to partner effectively, influence decision making and coach on a range of confidential and sensitive issues
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business’s operations, its performance drivers and metrics, in order to deliver cost effective and value added People programmes and solutions that will enhance business performance
  • Manage and deliver a high quality, professional and valued HR service to the Business Units
  • Coach, support, mentor and challenge managers in the application of People HR policies and practices, provide advice and guidance on People issues in order to minimise risk and financial exposure
  • Support the recruitment process in the Business Unitsincluding ensuring effective on-boarding of new employees
  • Support managers in making appropriate performance rating decisions, and communicating the reasons and outcomes of these decisions effectively
  • Design and implementation of Organisation Development solutions and initiatives (e.g. change in structure/process) to enable delivery of results and strategy
  • Provide support to the leadership team to drive high engagement through engagement surveys
  • Create strong relationships with HR leads of the key subsidiaries of the business

Your experience

  • Relevant qualification in HR, psychology or a business-related degree and a post graduate qualification would be advantageous
  • 5+ years experience in a Business Partnering role in a fast past environment
  • Experience in aligning structure, process and routines to implement and anchor changes
  • Sound familiarity across the HR disciplines
  • Change management and Organisation Development experience is an advantage
