Join this busy team on a contract basis to perform an Australian employee leave review and update data in their payroll system, Sage Micropay.

The Client:

MARS are partnering with a global management consulting firm in the CBD to assist them in finding a Payroll Officer to join their team. They’re currently rolling out a new project to implement a self-service payroll portal and need an extra pair of hands to perform an Australia employee leave review in their system, Sage Micropay. Their expectations for this role are; a good communicator, a logical thinker, someone that holds 3+ years’ experience and is available at short notice.


The Role:

The duties of the role include:

  • Reviewing and calculating roughly 500 employees’:
    • Annual leave
    • Long service leave entitlements and balances
  • Updating approved leave balance in Sage Meridian Micropay
  • Obtaining payroll related data from various resources for review
  • Performing related ad hoc duties as directed by the Finance Manager



  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within Australian Payroll experience
  • Strong comprehension of leave entitlement for Australian employees
  • Sound experience calculating Annual Leave and Long Service Leave balances for terminating employees
  • Experience in Sage Micropay is a major bonus
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail
