Job Summary💼
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our clients team. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic interventions to children, helping them improve their ability to perform daily activities and participate fully in their lives. This role involves working closely with children and their families, assessing their needs, developing individualised treatment plans, and collaborating with other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities📌

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify motor, sensory processing, learning, social, and emotional/behavioral challenges.
  • Gather detailed information on the child's impairments, strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles.
  • Develop personalised treatment plans in collaboration with the child and family, setting achievable goals
  • Design interventions that promote skill-building and independence in various activities, including play, self-care, academic tasks, sports participation, and social interactions
  • Implement therapy sessions in a safe, fun, and engaging environment to maximize child participation and progress
  • Provide parents/caregivers with strategies and support to reinforce skill development at home and in other settings.
  • Work closely with health and education professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with families to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and communications.
  • Prepare reports as required for internal use and external stakeholders.


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a therapeutic or educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of pediatric development and therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging therapeutic environment.
