About the Role:

Occupational Therapists strive to make our clients goals a reality. You will work with people within the NDIS framework and support clients to reach for outcomes and pursue their dreams. No one day will be the same. The role takes responsibility for managing a caseload, including correspondences with families and representatives. The role is responsible for providing advice and education regarding lifestyle changes and adaptations to the physical and social environment for the client. There is also a focus on working with other members of the broader allied health team to ensure consistency of support planning.

The key duties include:

Applying a specialist level of understanding of the effects and impact of all aspects of a disability on a client’s occupations and roles.
Implement and monitor individual plans to enable clients to perform the occupations that foster health and well-being in their everyday life.
Working with families and stakeholders to share goals and provide practical advice.
Maintaining accurate, timely and appropriate records of progress notes, reports and other relevant documentation.
My client is looking for multiple Occupational Therapists and have roles available across Perth. We are particularly hoping to meet with candidates who are able to service the South Metro region of Perth. All roles will ideally be hired on a permanent, full time basis, although we are in a position to consider part time or flexible working arrangements.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidates will pride themselves on their ability to build and deliver person-centered care that values the choice of the client. They will have the people skills to build and maintain meaningful, lasting relationships with their clients. Our ideal candidates will be experienced with pain management strategies and have the proven ability to develop therapy programs with their clients. They will also demonstrate a commitment to being a productive and positive member of the broader allied health team who is focused on ensuring that a multidisciplinary approach is being implemented.

As well as the above skills, the Key Requirements include:

Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
Possess or willing to obtain both an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check.
A valid WA license and a reliable vehicle.

Culture & Benefits

These roles represent the opportunity to work within a dynamic and committed interdisciplinary team who consistently achieve for their clients. You will work closely with your manager and our client is in a position to consider flexible working arrangements. Ongoing training and development is crucial to the success of the team and there is the potential for real career growth within the organisation and sector.
