🚨 Locum Mental Health Clinician (Psychologist | Social Worker | Occupational Therapist) | Regional Queensland Contract🚨
We're seeking an experienced Locum Mental Health Clinician to join our clients Acute Care Service, a 7-day community mental health service in Regional QLD
🗓 Contract: ASAP - 12 April 2026
💰 Pay Rate: $75-$85 per hour + super
✈️ Travel and accommodation provided
About the Role
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the clinician will deliver acute mental health assessment, intervention and care coordination for individuals experiencing mental health crises within the community.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments
* Provide crisis intervention and short-term therapeutic support
* Develop and implement recovery-focused care plans
* Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, nurses and allied health professionals
* Provide case management and care coordination for consumers with complex needs
* Liaise with hospital services, emergency departments, community supports and external agencies
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation within CIMHA
* Participate in shift work within a 7-day service delivering acute community care
Requirements
* Qualification in Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
* AHPRA registration (Psychologist or Occupational Therapist) or AASW membership (Social Worker)
* Experience working within acute or community mental health services
* Queensland Health experience highly regarded
* CIMHA experience preferred
* Strong skills in risk assessment, crisis management and multidisciplinary teamwork
