Financial Analyst Lead | Product Control

Our client seeks an experienced Financial Analyst Lead with strong analytical skills, a commercial mindset and a background in product control.

Our client, a prominent leader in the agricultural industry, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Lead to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in accounting and finance, specifically within the agricultural sector. This role is integral in ensuring accurate product cost accounting, financial reporting, and analysis, supporting business operations and strategic decision-making processes. Working closely with various departments to ensure that financial insights translate into actionable business strategies.


They are seeking an experienced individual with strong analytical abilities, a commercial mindset, exceptional communication skills, and ideally a background in product control.

Responsibilities:

  • Member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the General Manager.
  • Develop and produce operational and financial reporting and analysis to drive the business to make continual improvements.
  • Develop effective metrics and dashboards.
  • Manage end of month profit and loss reconciliations and reporting on findings.
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports related to product costs, margins, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for product-related costs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in product accounting.
  • Working with and influencing the leadership team.


Criteria:

  • 10+ years' experience in financial analysis or product control
  • CA/CPA/ACCA qualified
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of financial modelling and forecasting techniques
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

  • 5-day per week in-office work arrangement
