MARS Recruitment are excited to be partnering with a leading Australian business in their search for a Financial Analyst to join their growing team. This role is suited to either a first-mover from practice or alternatively a candidate with commercial accounting experience who is looking for the next step in their career. Focusing on FP&A and Financial Modeling, this is a very exciting opportunity for a switched on and motivated individual with strong Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a key member of the FP&A team, providing key insights to assist with the budgeting and forecasting process
• Helping with and updating Financial Models that are managed by the FP&A team
• Assist with data mining and develop models that can be leveraged by the team
• Projects: Assist wider team with ad hoc needs in terms of analysis
• Involvement in automation, process and control improvements in regards to the Finance function
• Assist and Support the FP&A team with other BAU responsibilities

Essential Criteria:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
• CA/CPA Qualfiied or nearing completion (3+ modules)
• 2-7 years experience within Chartered or Commercial Accounting
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong communication skills, with an ability to work with a range of stakeholders
