💰 Rate: Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the finance team of a global transport and infrastructure organisation that delivers essential public services across Australia. This short-term assignment offers the chance to step into a hands-on Financial Accountant role within a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you'll play an integral role in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement for one of the group's key subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements in line with AASB standards
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
• Liaise with external auditors and assist during audit periods
• Prepare monthly client payment claims and management reports
• Maintain internal controls and document financial procedures
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required

About You

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• CPA or CA qualified (or near completion)
• 1-2 years' experience in a Financial Accountant position
• Strong understanding of accounting, statutory reporting, and tax requirements
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Xero (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills

• Must be immediately available.
• They operate a flexible work from setup of 3 days in the office.
• Candidates with solely audit experience aren't being considered at this time.
