About the business and the role

You will be working for a large, well known business that is going through a strong period of change and growth. Through the investment in their systems, a newly created role has been created to help with an ERP implementation and following, to take ownership of the finance systems to help drive improvement. Job tasks and responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Controller, initially you will work with partners to help implement the ERP system to industry best practice standards and to help streamline reporting and further integration. Some of your detailed responsibilities will include:

  • Build a new suite of system driven financial reports and dashboards
  • Finalise business wide performance metrics for use in reporting
  • Help drive reporting to meet statutory reporting, budget, planning and forecasting and cost allocation needs
  • Assist the project team and external consultants re: mapping
  • Make recommended changes to the chart of accounts where applicable
  • Review of finance operating policies and ensure policies and controls are reflected in the system design
  • Ensure the design of finance system controls, processes and workflow address risks and internal audit control findings
  • Assist project team with finalising the current state finance blueprint to future state
  • Become the systems super user and educate and co-ordinate other super users and champions
  • Provide day-to-day support across all financial applications and interfaces, including end-user support
  • Govern and manage finance system changes/ updates
  • Work with technology to understand how finance systems fit into the technology strategy
  • Assist with project governance including risk/issues/actions register, identifying key risks and issues, mitigation of risks and action plans for issues


Skills and experience

  • Over 5 years experience within a similar role
  • Experience with implementing a large ERP system
  • CA/CPA Qualifications are preferred but not essential
  • Exposure to industry best practice around finance systems implementation
  • Ability to manage and work with senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills
