Exciting Finance Manager – Projects role. 6-month property contract. Lead BAU operations, streamline processes, and boost efficiency.

MARS Recruitment is partnering with a rapidly growing company in the property sector to recruit a Finance Manager - Projects for an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of a 6-month extension. In this role, you will oversee BAU financial operations while also taking the lead in streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include managing critical financial processes, leading cross-functional projects, and implementing best practices to boost productivity.

This position is ideal for a results-driven professional who excels at optimising financial processes and leading transformative initiatives. It is also a hands-on role that involves contributing to BAU functions, so strong technical accounting expertise is essential.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Support BAU end-to-end finance functions, including month-end close, management reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and implement improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and compliance.
  • Develop and execute strategies for continuous improvement in financial management practices.
  • Lead end-to-end process improvement projects, from ideation to implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current processes, identify areas for enhancement, and drive change initiatives.
  • Monitor project milestones, manage risks, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Foster a culture of process excellence and accountability across the finance department.


Criteria:

  • 8+ years of experience in financial accounting.
  • CA/CPA/ACCA qualified
  • Extensive experience in finance management, with a proven track record of process improvement.
  • Strong project management skills, particularly in leading process optimisation initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven ability to drive change and manage resistance within an organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and process automation tools.
