MARS Recruitment are urgently seeking Locum Mental Health Registered Nurse for an Adult Community Mental Health contract in country NSW.

For this locum we require an experienced Registered Nurse with the ability to:

• Conduct comprehensive Mental Health Assessments to identify patient needs and establish care pathways.
• Be proficient in performing detailed Mental Health Risk Assessments to evaluate patient safety and potential risks.
• Have expertise in community care coordination, developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Manage complex cases, ensuring continuity of care through regular monitoring and intervention.
• Proficient in delivering evidence-based interventions for individuals with diverse mental health conditions.
• Be a qualified Clopine Clinician with extensive experience in monitoring and managing patients on clozapine therapy.
• Have experience in administering depot injections, ensuring adherence to long-term medication treatment plans.

As a Locum Registered Nurse with MARS, you will be required to work full-time hours on a rotating roster for the period of the contract. Whether you choose to do 12 weeks or 13 weeks, your role is crucial for providing care, support, and treatment to patients across the lifespan. You will be required to develop a level of trust and rapport with your clients, whilst providing emotional support and monitoring patients mental health and wellbeing, also educating family members about ongoing treatment plans and guidance.

From- Up to $54.56 PH + Super - Statement of Service required + super + Christmas agency bonus paid on completion if worked over holiday period (Up to $1000)

Accommodation: Provided via facility

Travel: Reimbursed per KM if driving / Bus / Flights booked directly

Schedule: 38 hrs per week with additional hours available - paid at causal rate*.

• Experience in MH Nursing at RN6 + level and above.
• Unrestricted AHPRA registration
• Full working rights in Australia (we cannot grant any visa/sponsorship for these temporary roles)
• Credentialed Bachelor of Nursing Degree with mental health qualifications.
• NSW WWCC (or willing to obtain)
• Minimum 2 years postgraduate experience
• Car and DL - case by case can consider those without a car*.
