MARS Recruitment is teaming up with a respected mid-tier public practice firm dedicated to providing exceptional audit and advisory services to a diverse range of clients. As an Audit Senior, you will play a pivotal role in leading and executing audit engagements with precision and efficiency. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial statements and internal controls.

With a strong focus on professionalism, integrity, and client satisfaction, they have built a reputation for delivering quality outcomes and fostering lasting relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting risk assessments and developing audit plans
• Performing audit procedures and tests of controls
• Reviewing workpapers and providing guidance to junior team members
• Preparing audit reports and communicating findings to clients
• Building strong client relationships and providing exceptional service

Criteria:

• 3+ years of experience in external auditing
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CA/CPA qualification
• Strong knowledge of the application of Australian Accounting Standards (AASBs) and Australian Standards of Auditing (ASAs)
• Proficiency in the Microsoft product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is a requirement.
• Familiarity with CaseWare or similar audit file technology is preferred.
• Experience working with not-for-profit clients is highly valued but not mandatory
• Exceptional communication both verbal and written
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills
