Accounts Officer – Full time or Part time

Permanent Accounts Officer job opportunity with an Australian owned Construction business located in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs.

Our client is an Australian owned Construction organisation with their head office loacted in Melbournes Western Suburbs. They are seeking and experienced Accounts Officer to join their organistion on a permanent ongoing basis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complete daily bank reconciliations
  • End to end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Construction payment retention experience
  • Record all invoices on a daily basis
  • Complete supplier payment runs
  • Process monthly direct debit
  • Generate monthly statements
  • Management of relationships with customers
  • Receipt and allocate customer payments
  • Assist in the preparation of month end reporting
  • Posting journals and accruals
  • Preparation of key financial statements
  • Relevant reporting duties
  • Work with finance team to identify and implement business process improvement

What we are looking for:

  • 3 + years of experience in a Accounts Assistant
  • Experience working within the construction industry - Highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of Xero or other similar ERP systems
  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Can do attitude and exceptional communication skills
