The role will be at the Senior Manager level and will suit someone with a strong Enterprise Compliance, Control Room background who is looking to specialize within the Conflicts and Resolutions space fully utilizing their Legal & Compliance background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for logging potential transactions in the bank’s central conflict clearing system
  • Review and implement relevant Frameworks
  • Advise the trading & front office teams
  • Work & assist the wider Enterprise & Investment Compliance teams
  • Identify potential conflicts of interest
  • Validate and capture relevant transactions and company information, generate reports
  • Liaise with other members of the global BSCO team

Requirements

  • Previous experience across Enterprise Compliance, Control Room, or Conflicts & Resolutions
  • Relevant degree in Legal, Finance, or Business

We have recently engaged to work with an international bank that is looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to join the Enterprise Compliance team. The bank has a great culture as well as offering hybrid working arrangements, this role will suit someone in a Risk & Compliance Manager role looking for more 360 exposure with a banking group that covers multiple Corporate & Investment markets.

About the role:

Client Service Manager

The role:

Our client is looking for a Client Service Manager for their Asset Management department. This is a 12-month maternity cover to support the Institutional and Wholesale Distribution business in Australia / New Zealand from a client service and support perspective. Our client is a key player in the international banking industry.

This is a very operational/administrative role, not client-facing.

Key Responsibilities:

Client servicing

  • Oversight of daily Trust price review and distribution, website update
  • Review monthly/quarterly/annual transaction & tax statements
  • Monthly/quarterly/annual Trust and mandate reporting
  • Respond to all client and registry queries by phone and email
  • Monitoring of all clients, external and internal service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Preparation of internal reporting

Unit Registry – Must have previous experience

  • Day to day ownership of relationship with IRESS Client Service Team
  • Monitor and review unit registry process to ensure client service levels and SLAs are met
  • Support the Product and Compliance function with unit registry information as required
  • Support investors / advisers with online application adoption and roll out

Client related compliance support

  • Know your customer (KYC)/Anti Money Laundering (AML) for mandate clients
  • KYC/AML for Trust clients, where required
  • Salesforce input
  • Service provider compliance support

Marketing & Sales Support

  • Responsibility for the control register of external client, prospect, consultant and researcher requests
  • Provide CRM support for coordination and set up of client meetings with overseas Investment teams
  • Preparation of presentation materials

Office Support

  • Responsibility for Melbourne office support
  • Contact point for IT support
  • Central contact point for building management and facilities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Basic working knowledge of investment markets
  • 3-6 years banking or financial services industry experience
  • Must have previous Unit Registry experience
  • Hard working and conscientious
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve and resolve
  • Proactive and ability to work unsupervised
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative and team focused
  • Strong organisational skills with a deadline driven focus

Qualifications required:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Business
  • At least 3 year’s client service experience at an Asset Management / Financial Services firm required

  • Ability to work flexible hours and manage time effectively

The Opportunity

Due to a continued strong deal-flow and significant organic growth, the firm wish to appoint an ambitious Investment Analyst to their Direct Assets team. Reporting to the Director, you will play an integral role by supporting key investment decisions and work across all aspects of the transaction lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of financial models to assess new investment opportunities across multiple product types;
  • Running sensitivity analysis, variance analysis, or preliminary valuations of prospective acquisitions;
  • Industry research relating to acquisitions, including pricing trends, portfolio construction and related developments.
  • Preparation and presentation of investment documentation for the investment committee review;

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Commerce, Economics, Property or Law
  • A minimum of 1.5 years corporate finance experience – Big4 accounting (M&A, TAS, VALS), investment bank or boutique advisory
  • Strong financial modelling capabilities including the various techniques and valuation methodologies
  • First-class communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to quickly & accurately analyse and communicate results, including views on financial and non-financial aspects of a transaction.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability converse with both internal and external stakeholders
