I have been engaged by one of our key clients to assist in appointing a senior project professional to run the Project Management Office in their day to day delivery for their portfolio of work across the group. This is a unique role where you can have real input and drive of the direction where the PMO can service the organisation.



  • Assess feasibility and initiate projects
  • Definition of project deliverables and development of project plans
  • Identification and management of interdependencies between projects
  • Estimation, management and realisation of benefits linked to deliverables and plans
  • Development and management of budgets
  • Identification and management of issues and risks
  • Development and management of project tracking processes and status reporting
  • Detailed analysis and reporting of what was delivered against plan (predominantly scope and time)
  • Management of governance committees and stakeholder meetings
  • Manage teams to project deliverables and act as point of escalation
  • Development and management of customised change plans across projects for different stakeholder groups
  • Development and management of project communications, including powerpoint presentations
  • Subject matter expertise in establishing PMO’s, Finance or HR policy and process improvement or projects that span people, process and technology will be highly regarded
  • Manage a team of two


Essential Criteria:

  • Flexible to change with the changing needs of the program
  • Practical and hands-on approach to Project Management
  • Strong people leadership skills
  • Works quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail and quality
  • Positive, enthusiastic, self-confident and committed
  • 5 years experience minimum in similar role, ideally banking/financial services
