Occupational Therapist

Our client is a reputable aged care provider with a small facility based in Bunbury, dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to elderly residents. With a focus on maintaining independence and promoting well-being, our client's facility offers a warm and supportive environment for both residents and staff.


We are currently partnering with our client to recruit a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering personalised occupational therapy services to residents, contributing to their overall quality of life and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify residents' occupational therapy needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to residents' goals and capabilities.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address functional limitations and enhance independence.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers on strategies for maximising independence and safety.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Previous experience in aged care or geriatric rehabilitation settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
